Congratulations to John and the whole team on the publication of our new paper in JPC! We studied the protonation state of the important zeolite HZSM-5 as a function of hydration and showed how the number of water molecules around the BAS causes the deprotonation and stabilization of the excess charge. This was the result of a great team effort that required advanced spectroscopy, AIMD and sample fabrication combining expertise from the Tokmakoff, Voth and Kung groups.
